Sounds like you just made your own set of YYZv2's. If them old ones were better than fe3's for my YYZv1's, on the Panel I would buy them from you.

Yes the coilovers will get you down there but to drive them hard, you have to dial them down to stiff. I believe the KWV2's will be on the craigs list soon.

Was trying to decide which struts, Koni or fe5 to go with a set of YYZv2's on the SS. I'm sure it wont be KYB.

FYI, the springs for a Cobalt SS/SC and SS/TC are dfferent, one is much softer than the other, but I don't remember which offhand.

Currently considering hacking another half coil off...have a set of camber bolts ready to go..found that camber gets noticeably changed below 26 1/4 in of lip to ground measurements. For Some reason the left front likes to lay over..not so bad on the right front...geometry design i suppose. Will probably shim up rack box also...

I did it because they were just sitting there..most likely never to be installed again, sooo..i did it, wasnt happy with the current setup..these are much better..One coil cut brings you down to 26 1/4..wanting t bring it down another 1/4 and that should be about right and still be able to do daily things with it without having to worry about smacking things. The rear is going to be tricky..thinking of cutting top coil and adding a modified adjuster to set height..pretty much like what the coil over sets have. Since I have GL's on the LS, for comparative purposes, I think they had the correct set up..firm yet drivable..no bounce, even with KYB's...paired with a set of 17" wheels and 225/50/17 tires the ride is real good. Drove 3k miles cross country loaded down thru the mountains and didnt hear a complaint out of the wife..that counts for something....
