Your total tire wheel height should be close to the magic 26'' so that shouldn't matter. I had fe5 on my SS and it was at 27.5 front. Put the same springs with my fe3 struts and shocks on the panel, and got the same as I have now, 26.5 front and 27 rear. I might be where you got the info, but I used fe3 struts, not kyb.

I haven't checked the height on mine yet but it arises curiousity to check. I will check tonight. I installed the Goldline springs a while back and if my memory serves me right lowered it 2.75 in rear and 2.50 in front with the stock 16's on it. Now I went with the Solstice's 18's and I honestly think the less tire height compensated for the extra rim height and stayed about the same. Been trying to load both pictures for comparisson but my computers acting up! I'll try again tonight.

The HHRs all have the same front /rear setup..so the tire height will remain the same to around 1/4 inch because of clearance to the strut , regardless of rim size

I have an '06 2lt.....

It reads, ground to middle of wheel opening, 27.25 inches in the front, 27.875 rear.

Stock polished spoke rims, tire stock height, inflated to 36 PSI and 3/4 tank of gas. No additional load or gear.

I have SS springs and struts in the front, and SS springs and shocks in the rear.

Probably his 16 inch tires !!

But I might ad.....I have 55,000 on the car. About 10,000 on the suspension. So, maybe his mileage is a factor.....worn suspension?

If I remember correctly my SS was the same..27.25 frnt..stock.. remember the FE5 struts are gas filled and tend to lify a slight bit compared to the non pressurized struts..this is why when you take them off they quickly expand to max height..gas. Ever try to collapse the rears? hard to do..well, this pushes the car up the same way.

I can't remember my exact mileage, but it's around 52k...I think. I'm sure my suspension might sag a bit...it's pretty low mileage, but still an '07.
