I have never had that problem from the rust inhibitor places.

Thumbs up Oil & Wax

Hey thanks everybody for your infos Seems that a 'quality oil treatment' to the underside from a reputable place that guarentees no leaks etc..is the way to go for our 'friendly' winters. I was at my dealer's today and even they told me it's a good idea plus it won't affect the warrenty
Also stopped by this car cleaning center and they have a 'scealant' type of wax job with uv protection that they'll apply for about $55.00. Not bad no?
At least with global warming, we seem to be getting milder winters with less snow

..which is bad news from a rust perspective. Cars don't rust at -20C, but they do at +5C. And you're going to get rain anyways. I'll take -10C and a weekly dumping of snow all winter with joy over a rainy winter.

It depends on the outfit. All it takes is a messy employee and I got one last year. The place that I used for my Jeep used to let me drive it on and off the ramps when there were no other customers around. That was perfect; nobody with messy fingers in the car.
