Lonawane- Yes, correct on the rear Caddy fenders. 1949 to be exact.

Looks like a series 62 Caddy, Some portions, Yes indeed.

It does have the grille like a 1947 Lincoln so someone customized it. 1948 Lincoln Grille. Customized indeed & not slightly. Like Sam or George Barris or maybe Sam Foose , possibly Dean Jefferies Nope.
and the Buick style hood latches, The hood is modded 1949 Caddy, but correct on the Buick style latches. lots of different cars made up this ride! You are correct Sir.
Blue- you nailed it.. It is made of 3 different vehicles. And you named them all. The builder however was a small time guy with a ton of creativity,..
This car was in several car mags & shows etc..

Greybeard- Yes Lincoln front end & from the late 40's Yes, 1948 Linc to be precise.

It started life as a 1947 Buick Sedanette aka: Fastback, originally owned & restyled by (Benny) Reno Gracia of Bentwood, Cal. Reno's Buick featured a 1948 Lincoln Grille, & 1949 Caddy Rear fenders, bumper & hood.

Later sold to Bob Sly & years later Bob sold it & after said it was the biggest mistake of his life selling it.. The family is still trying to get it back.. News article says 1946 Buick, but was a 1947, ya know "fake news"..

One of my Mom’s first cars in the 50’s was a 1948 Pontiac Torpedo back 2 dr, I’ve thought many times of finding one and personalizing it. She traded that in for a 1960 Ford Fairlane 2door HT , That was a very sleek car that really caught my eye! George Poteet has one all tricked out. Way past my budget!
