The Hippo does not go forward (but!... goes backwards).

well...
The Chinese (or rather, a Chinese girl, as it turned out later) somehow corrected her mistake, namely: she took her 4T65E set, returned the money to me, and she is ready to sell me the correct 4T40E / 4T45E set at a good discount (122 USD + free shipping).
In principle, the action plan is working. But just in case, I want to ask for your opinion. Just to ease my conscience.
Here is the 4T40E / 4T45E set that I was asked to buy. Does this set of iron and rubber fit the transmission of my Hippo 2006 LT 2.4L 3GNDA23P86S557883 ?
I don't want to plunge into a.ss again. What do you think?

Confused by the fact that in the box are:
1. a set of clutches marked "t114080a" and a reference to 4T45E;
2. a set of steel rings marked "t114081a" and a reference to 4T40E;
3. Any car references I can find for these numbers are limited to MY 2007 and younger, my car is MY 2006 - that makes me wonder too.

4T40E = 4T45E, It seems to be the same transmission, but it never hurts to get the opinion of experienced guys. It's the first time I've come this close to a transmission and I have no idea how those steel rings work. In addition, I do not trust the Chinese girl, so her opinion is no longer a priority for me.

By the way, here she is... traveling on a train

Interesting that the seller would share such a personal picture… and that hat! Such an international exchange.

So it seems like you may have a simple fix

If you haven’t looked into your transmission pan there is a forward clutch pressure line that are notorious for breaking, but it’s a matter of dropping your transmission pan and dropping the filter and two bolts, it’s 4 pressure lines that the flange it’s welded to breaks it’ll run about $120 on Amazon but if you have reverse but no forward I’d give it a try.

but I’d buy that part and save 50% of the old fluid and put in 50 % fresh fluid (if haven’t serviced in a long time) along with a new transmission filter.

Hi guys,
I went back to my Hippo, he stood all winter in a snowdrift with a non-functioning transmission,
my hands were away from it due to the military events in Ukraine, but now I can return to the repair,
Yesterday I took Hippo to the doctor to give him a good treatment finally, the transmission will be dismantled and opened, then a complete replacement of all damaged parts. Some spare parts came from China (I already wrote earlier) and are waiting for their fate, others the doctor will order and receive on his own. In addition, it is planned to open the "donut" in order to flush, diagnose and, if necessary, replace the vane elements.
I must say that Hippo showed himself to be a great guy (no one doubted it! ha - ha), after half a year of hibernation, he wound up with half a turn, as if he was running yesterday. Moreover, he independently crawled about 4 kilometers to the auto repair shop without even scaring his neighbors in road traffic.
But there are still some losses - having wintered in the snow, he received a certain charge of corrosion, with anguish I discovered new red foci and the growth of old sores. But now the end of uncertainty. In a couple of weeks, I will revive the transmission and start putting the body in order.

Good to hear your Hippo is getting some help from the veterinarian. I have started calling my black HHR the Hippo. Hope you don't mind.
