The Hippo does not go forward (but!... goes backwards).

There is a temptation to use the situation and replace the automatic transmission with a manual transmission. There will be more opportunities for active driving. But the changes are annoying. There is a lot of work with the installation of the three-pedal assembly, but there are no ambiguities. But the onboard brain ... It is unlikely that it is adapted for manual transmission, and if you look for a donor with a manual transmission and at the same time with brains, there is no guarantee that the donor's brains will fit the Hippo systems (engine, safety system in case of an accident, something else).
In general, I drive away thoughts about the manual transmission. Until a final diagnosis is made.

Yes, the 4T45E, ubiquitous, even used with 6-cylinders, overkill for little 4-bangers, should last forever. Twice.

With the way the problem initiated I can’t help wondering if it could be a simple silly electrical problem such as a loose wire or a switch contact. Makes me want to look at schematics/wiring diagrams.

Manual transmissions are overrated. The clutch can be such a pain, and not just when they wear out, which they always do.

It’s plausible the connector to a solenoid inside the transmission had melted .

Hi guys
I'm not lost, just no change so far ..
I had to leave for a while, so there was no information from last week.
I still plan to keep you updated.

if it's true, that's good
the problem seems small
but from what the solenoid connector can melt?

I recently saw a YT video of a guy with the same problem and his fix was to drop the transmission pan and filter. Under the filter there is a tube assembly that directs fluid flow to the valve body. the fittings on the ends of the tubes came loose on one end which stopped the fluid from getting to the forward motion clutches. He put in a new tubing assembly and problem was fixed. Might be worth checking out as it was a low cost fix.
