When I enter 2007 HHR (which would have the donor transmission), it lists 2006 and 2007 HHRs as compatible.

When I enter 2011 HHR (which is the car that needs a trans), it lists 2009, 2010, 2011 as compatible.

Entering a 2008 HHR shows it as a unique year that only lists 2008 HHRs as compatible. Furthermore, it has two separate categories, pre-1/7/2008 and after 1/7/2008.

I assume car-part's compatibility is based on the Interchange books that scrapyards use. Or maybe not.

Kinda worthless info if there’s no mention of engine size.

I think that is because of the aforementioned final drive ratio.
Well, no. they are all the same.
Those differences do apply to the engines.

I just realized that I didn't mention that my daughter's car has the 2.2L engine.

Also, all the car-part info I mentioned above is for a 2.2L engine.

I don't care if there are slight differences in final drive ratios. I am just concerned that the TCM is programmed for a certain drive ratio and may throw codes thinking the trans is slipping or other engine-speed vs output shaft speed discrepancies, when in reality the cause is a different ratio.

One other thing.

I put the shifter in park, and it is in park (car won't move or be pushed).

When I put the shifter in reverse, the car drives forward, but the backup lights are on at the rear.

These seem to indicate that the shifter is working.

I don’t think you’ll have any problems the replacement transmission in Oldblue was from a ? No TCM codes.

My Mitchell says all of the specifications are the same. I looked at 2007, 2008 and 2011.

Sounds like the manual valve is out of sync.

I was just thinking about the problem, the pressure lines are know to crack at the welds

If there is a break at the welds, pressure can’t be maintained

Is that connected to the disgronifier pump?
