traction control light keeps going on & off

I have a 2009 Chevy HHR with 79000 miles on it. For the last 6 months the traction control light keeps coming on and off at will. I have a pretty decent scanner and no codes show up. It seems to go away most of the time when I turn off the engine and restart the car. The Chevy dealer tells me they can't find the problem. I was wondering if any one else has had this problem with their HHR.? And if so what was done to correct the situation. Or have any advice.

Welcome to the site, Your problem is most likely a wire or bad connector for the ABS wheel sensors. A shop can scan the ABS system to find out which wheel to look at. You should replace the hubs in pairs; if one is worn out the other is not far behind. Have a look at the wires, corrosion has been known to travel up the wires
