The name of the OBD test is very misleading, almost everybody misunderstands what it means (including experienced mechanics that should know better). Autozone and Advance have sold millions of camshaft sensors because the only read key words "sensor"

P0455 might be as simple as getting a new gas cap..
I remember the Haynes manuals had some pretty detailed schematics in other manuals i have but dont yet have one for this car (again rarely have to do anything to it lol)

The 2006 shop manual has schematics. I just don't get why you can't just look at the wires and conclude that the colors on one end match the colors on the other end. The "harness" goes from the TCM to the transmission.

oh i know, i just like to have a visual. I get what your saying but as i said my daily grind keeps me busy, when i pull my car in i just like to have my head fully wrapped around what im looking at or looking for. Im sure i have the 06 manual backed up somewhere just wasnt where i thought it was. The reason for me wanting the mental picture is that the harness is not simply a two ended, just didnt know if any of the other things incorporated into it had any relevance. Again thanks i know you guy field a lot of seemingly repeat questions and topics on here. I also have a great deal of enthusiasm for this car and just enjoy talking about it.

FIXED!! . . . . so i went into the shop today and was feeling fairly ambitious so i got her up on stands and tinkered for a bit with the harness. Didn't really find anything there so i just kept pullin parts lol before ya knew it i was smack dab in the middle of a full blown shift solenoid swap lol. Really wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. I am going to add some of my findings to the actual solenoid thread that i think could be helpful . . . . oh happy day . . . thanks for every ones suggestions, lots of great knowledge here to lean on. . . . gonna take the highway home today . . . maybe speed a bit (shhh i didnt say that)

actually going to sell this one i really just wanted to properly address the few issues the car had mechanically before i listed it. Its really been a fantastic car and quite the eye opener for me to this GM platform (ive never owned an econo car) Im just super excited to get on with my Panel SS project. What a great drive i had home yeterday at 2500 rpm on the highway lol

Don’t sell it! You’re gonna need it for those days when the SS stays in the garage!
