Sorry ment E85 thought it was E87. Okay Thanks for clearing up. I guess I really didn't know the difference then.

I thought E85 was supposed to be better for mileage though and from you all are telling me it sucks lol. I actually talked to greybeard too and he has been helping me out quite a bit. Thanks GreyBeard.

Most of it is just concern. I love this new beauty that I have and want to baby her to death and don't want to screw something up. For one I don't even have flexfuel and just wasn't sure.

I know somethings that I'm gonna do like I said thanks to greybeard and others that are on this forum. Really enjoying it here lol.

gotta do the math---if e-85 is cheap enough then you can save $---but if the price is close to regular then you won't.............try e85prices.com...and put in your state.................

If the motor was tuned only for E85, you would see better performance and economy, but the dual tune looses some. We have agencies that only run E85 and their mileage is no different then those running 87 octane. Running a tank here and there is not enough for the computer to fully adjust. In the cars we have at work, I usually see a 2-3 mpg decrease (Impala's). SOme see much worse. It really seems to vary.

you can go to this site http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ and look up different vehicles that can use E-85 and Reg gas. Example the HHR using E-85 is listed as 16 to 22 mpg. HHR using gas is listed as 22-32mpg. Ethanol is good for one thing, corn whiskey

Yeah.... but no corn whiskey while driving. Telling the officer you were going to put it in the gas tank doesn't work.
