Hey D,

My 1st thought would be to purchase a driver's side A pillar trim like the SS has and mount it where the SS boost gauge sits. That would be trick as hell in your ride.

I have one that I have in my Miata. I use velcro to attach it to the top of the steering column. Since security is an issue in a convertible that I rarely have the top up on, I just remove it and take it with me or lock it in the trunk. I think I'll order another cable and mount it the same way in the HHR.

I thought about that area but are concerned about blocking the indicators and the info display.

Here's another idea but adds another 50+ smackers to the project:

Its fuggin rectangular?, I had one in my Marauder that was round, so scratch the pillar mount. Say what about in the center dash console?

That's been considered - maybe in the change tray. But, my intent is to try to keep it within viewing range ( ie eyes forward while driving). I may mount to the top of the steering column if it doesn't obscure DIC or idiot lights, or velcro mount above the mirror.

It actually sounded Swiss to me. Nice idea, but not sure about mounts. http://www.installer.com/mounts/

Site didn't have anything for the HHR, but I've seen similar versions by another company.

I too thought I went into a pasta thread. I was tricked by the no spaces in the title.
