Topping Off

You are not allowed to pump your own gas in the state of New Jersey. I usually have to tell the non-English speaking person fueling my HHR to stop when the nozzle clicks off and the cents figure is less than 25 cents.
However, the price of gasoline is high enough now that the pump jockey won't do any damage to the evap system by rounding up the total cost to the nearest dollar.

NOW I can round off to the next dollar ( its not that much anyways with the prices now) but before if I tried to top off after the first ckick, I'd get gas out the top after a few seconds...mine stops pretty much full,,since then I dont even try to top off. Now the gas 'storage' tank in my truck ( yes its that big ,
35 gal) I can click on for another 4 gal which is great for road trips

Second, you're right, price makes it not so bad for clicking up to the nearest dollar.
You want to see hard to do it even with that? Try filling one of the capless fords. My wife's fiesta wont take much more than $0.50 after click. And you can't pull the nozzle out slightly cause then you aren't opening the trap door so all the gas just hits the floor.
