Smile 09 SS Ordered

I finally did it--just left the Dealership with paperwork in-hand.. Ordered a 2009 SS, Victory Red with Ebony/Red interior.. Added Automatic Trans, Pioneer Stereo Upgrade,, and "had" to include the USB (required Option now I guess--unusual word selection)...

The Performance Seat was not available on the option list--as I expected from reading Forum Discussions (now Standard--at least that's what I think!)..

I must say--the knowledge I gained from all of you made this an extremely pleasant experience--THANKS!!

I hope to have it before Christmas...

I got my 09 back in July, I absoulutely love it. You will too. Funny thing, the "USB" radio option was not available when I got mine. (wanna trade? LOL) And the Preformance seats were an option, glad I got them, they are soo comfortable. Congrats.

congrats on the order. you're correct about the USB radio is now a mandatory option. you didn't see the performance driver seat in the options list because it is now standard equipment.

I figured you would go with the SS.

I think you will be very happy with your choice.

Did you get a good deal?

Thanks everyone! RE: Deal info: the Dealer is selling me the car for $ 100 over factory invoice and then will apply any available incentives at time of delivery.. So I hope GM will have some "Holiday Specials" in December...

Note: the invoice has several amounts with unusual acronyms--I am paying the "invoice W/DFC" amount $ 25,153.50 minus incentives,,, there is also a "GMS W/DFC" of $ 24,523.05 and a "Supplier W/DFC" of $ 25,619.84.. Anyone know what those mean?

gms is employee price for vehicle in stock, supplier is discount for those who work for supplier to gm(if they qualify) and invoice is lowest price dealer would sell before incentives. dfc should be delivery freight charge. if i am off someone will chime in to correct me.

That is about how I did mine.

They gave me the invice price +100 And then - the incentives.

Thge target price I wanted was $22.750 and they were $400 off. I told them IF they would give me my price then I would ok the purchase. He e mailed me 10 min later and said Congrats that I had just bought a SS.

Then I hit them with my GM card money and they took another $1,000 off. I always leave the GM money till last as the dealer always gets it but I figure it may keep them from coming down on the price to start.

They were good to me as I had near $3,000 on my card and could only use $1000. When I bought my moms car we added her name to the account and the dealer got one $1,000 form my card taken off her car.

If anyone is in the Ohio area I will be glad to recommend Doug Chevy in Akron to anyone and Darrin Bucannan as one of the better sales people I have purchased a car from. They both treated my right. I can not say that for some other area dealers.

hyperv6: what a great deal you received!! I'm pretty happy with my Deal and the Dealer... I don't have a GM card (oops!)... Now to see if it arrives in a reasonable amount of time...
