Received the little Road Ripper today...thanks Craig! Did some disassembly, measuring, and a little mock-up...

These are nicely detailed (for a toy) and will build into a nice master...just a tad smaller than 1/25 scale, but is pretty accurate and has "the look" I think! Lots of cutting, sanding, shaving, a nip here, a tuck there, it should work nicely!

Banner would probably look good...looks good on the model! I think Tom sells them on his site.

Looks good--quite the project, eh? You mentioned in the past a possible "SS" version (different grill/bumper cover, etc.)....

Appreciate your effort!!

The Road Ripper looks to have mid 90s Corvette wheels on it.

Yea, as I rework the body, I'll cut the bumpers, grille & running boards free and have the body cast without them. They'll be separate parts and the SS bumpers, grille, & side skirts I'll scratch build so you will have the option of purchasing your kit as a "regular" HHR (any version...panel, AA5, etc.) or SS, any version.

Thanks for the luck, Roy! Time will be the biggest necessity! Yep, anything that's on a 1:1 HHR, can be on the model...can use thin wire for antennas, etc.

Those wheels/tires as shown in my mock-up pics are what comes with the Revell PT Cruiser convertible kit...they do look like vette-style rims...I've just used them here to show the potential of the lil road ripper body...I'll build masters of all available HHR wheels & have them cast/plated as required. Here's the road ripper as they come:
