2009 HHR whats it worth ?

I have a 2009 hhr lt with 238000 miles on it i drive around 100-600 miles a day.
starting to think i need a new car dealer says 500 for trade in but they dont want it. what do you all think its worth.

Kelly blue book states it worth about 3000.00. You can go to kbb web site a plug in you options a the number may change.

You can get about $500 from a "salvage yard". That is what the dealer is offering, because they could not sell it to anybody else for a profit(PERIOD). You could store it while you part it out and make more money.

You would no longer be liable for Personal Property Tax, that's ALL you get out of the deal.

The dealer would take it to an auction with the hopes that someone on the secondary market would pay more than the $500 trade in allowance, less the auction commission and fees.

More than likely it would turn up on a "Buy Here, Pay Here" car lot, for $495 down and X dollars a week, and an interest rate of 19%.

I only have 99000 on my 09 and was thinking of trading it off. They only offered me $4500 at two different dealers.

If I thought I could get that kind of miles out of it I might just do the 100K maintenance and keep it.

200,000 is not unusual.
