2009 HHR whats it worth ?
Marketing ploy, the "other" Chevrolet dealer in my area keeps clogging my mailbox with offers to pay "Up to $15,000" for my 2007, etc.
I'm a lawyer, and the twists and turns in their "Ironclad" offer had me reading it three times before I added up all the ways that $15,000 would quickly turn into something less than wholesale "low book value".

Most likely the cost popularity and this model year had a lot of the bugs worked out, like shifter, ignition key sticking, brakes and aren't they flex fuel or was that the 2010 models?
I have spent about $125 in 4 and a half years and 99,000 miles outside of regular service and tires.
They are buying '09's because that is what he has, and a decent chance it's paid for at 4-5 years old.
DW and I have both had those calls on our vehicles lately. Anything to get you in the door and looking.

Exactly right, they do this all the time by mail or phone, sometimes you get a new dealer or owner of your original dealership and they just go through customer records and start making calls. Really it's nothing special we have that they want but our $$.
Local Toyota dealer offered me $6500 trade and $100 over invoice on a 2014 LE Camry with 0% interest. The $100 over invoice covers the add-on package they have on it for tint, wheel locks and pin stripe that was listed at $795. I guess the all window tint is worth the extra $100. Going back today to make final decision.

A fwiw. $100 over "invoice" plus 0%, usually means that's a MSRP invoice. NOT a dealer cost invoice.
They're gonna make money somehow.
With the numerous "hold backs" and incentives I am sure they are making good money.
I am 73 and so I figure with me not making anymore cross country trips this one will hopefully take me to the grave are the old folks home.
I have an '08 2LT 2.4 auto, leather with 99,700 mi,(every thing works) with the title, and no way I would sell!. I would however trade even( if you don't want the after market sound system, I have the stock unit) for a 2014 crew cab GM pick up. No joke I like my H that much.
