Peppy? Peppy! Ha! If that's true, the 2.4L is a rip-roaring, snarling beast of a motor!

Well, it's slighty peppier,ayways..

Perhaps spunky, even! LOL

YA! It's the first 4 banger I've ever had.
All my other cars where 300 to 400 HP V8's. And my 270 HP tiburon.
I think it goes "pretty" good.LOL. Bought it for the looks more that anything.

When I bought mine, my main concern was getting a 5 speed and Sunburst Metallic Orange and the only one I found in the entire Denver Metro area was a 2.2L. While I realize that you get more features with a 2LT, it wasn't as important to me as it is to others. I'm a 51 year old lady who just wanted a cool looking car that gets great gas mileage and one that my 10 year old grandson would love. First time I took him for a ride in the HHR...he said..."Grandma...this car ROCKS!!!" and his parents have new cars as well (2005 Toyota Matrix and 2005 Toyota Sienna)

Nothing wrong with a 2.4, but you can do more on a 2.2 as far as increasing the horsepower because you have no VVT to get in the way.

Hey, I agree, what about the LS? I bought it because of the possibilities and the cost. Please don't separate us out as "not counting". All the car has to say is HHR.
