Around here the LS is the rare car's. I have the 2LT, but the biggest reason was thats about all the dealer had. The biggest reason was the color for me, and I didn't want the roof rails. Mine was the only one without them. The best thing for anyone to do is to know what you want before you buy and only buy what u want, regardless of which model. It's a HHR, and really that's all I was looking for. I could have lived without the bells and whistles of the 2LT. But man, are they nice. Oh and they were all priced about the same. The only LS I've seen to date had no options.

I've put a lot of time into creating a unique price comparison and analysis site that can answer questions like the one that started this thread. I provide it free of charge. Yes, it's my site. But I don't feel I deserve to be lumped with those that post or email irrelevant ads for products they're trying to sell. I'm not looking for money from anyone here.

Having driven both models, I can't notice a massive difference in the two, at least in terms of performance. The 2LT has a little more power from the 2.4L, but it's slight.

I picked the 2LT because alot of the options that I wanted were standard on that level. It was easier to find a 2LT with the 2.4 and upgraded sound system than to put together a 1LT and add the options I wanted.

If you can't live without the 2LT level standards, then go with it.

IMO, the 2LT package was well worth it. This was purely based on my experience with the purchase of my 1990 K5 Blazer. When I bought it, I was right out of college and had only been working for a few years. I bought the most basic model, no options, at a price I could afford then (was like $18K), whereas the Top model had the works and cost about $25K.

After years of adding after market options, which were not so bad, I have concluded that I was always compromising on myself. This HHR was only my second brand-spanking new car I have ever bought! And I promised myself I am going to get it with everything on it! No more 2-3 topping pizzas for me, it is supreme combination all the way!

Although, I opted to not get the XM radio or Automatic Trans, I got every other option. I am very happy and pleased with my decision. And had leftover $$$$ to treat myself to a set of FOOSE Nitrous wheels Woohoo!

There is nothing wrong with treating yourself once in a while!

Is it 2LT, or LT?

I just purchased the Victory Red Spring Edition HHR. The paperwork just says LT, so I don't know if I have a 1LT or a 2LT. Does anyone know what the Spring Edition model is?

The easiest way to tell a 1LT from a 2LT (I think) is the 1LT has nickel chrome accents, and the 2LT has bright chrome accents.

(Well... I mean other than looking at the window sticker..... )
