42 Black HHRs Video Shoot

My boss spotted this article in one of our trade publications. It looks like a site to behold. I can't wait for the commercial.

RJ Young Commercial Closes Gateway Bridge

7/23/2008

NASHVILLE, TN. (July 11, 2008) – What do you do with 42 RJ Young black Chevy HHR’s? How about close down the Gateway Bridge for two hours to shoot a TV commercial! So that’s what they did. At 9 a.m. on July 11th, Nashville city granted RJ Young Company a permit to close down five of the six lanes on the Gateway Bridge.

“It was the price of admission to see those cars coming over the bridge,” said Steve Huff VP of Service for RJ Young. RJ Young will be using the video to create a TV commercial featuring their commitment to service to air on local stations this fall.

RJ Young purchased more than 70 Chevrolet’s for Service Technicians to use throughout all 17 locations in the Southeast. “This was a great opportunity for us to provide economical and reliable transportation for our Technicians; while also getting our name out in the community,” says Hunter McCarty COO of RJ Young. RJ Young’s service fleet will also be in Chattanooga, Huntsville, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Mississippi and Memphis.

I can't wait to see the commercial either, but it will probably only air in the Southeast...let us know if/when it is online!

Since the day the filmed the commercial, I've been seeing the black HHRs running the streets around town. They have various graphics around the vehicle, nothing really large or gawdy. Will try to snap a pic with my phone the next time I see one.

I'm wondering if they'll post the commercial on their website. I have been contacted by this company about our office copiers in the past, may have to contact them to see what they can tell me. Will let you know hwat I find out! I drive by their Nashville headquarters every day.
