50's Chevrolet emblem on HHR hood?

50's Chevrolet emblem on HHR hood?

Has anyone put a set of these on their hood sides? I know that Iv'e seen them from time to time ,just wondering if they will be flush on the hood? Thanks...John

I’ve not seen them live in person so I’m not 100% sure. The hood does curve from the door down and into the grille area . You’d have to measure the length of the badge and see how much flat surface there is on the hood back by the door just above the fender

Hi Blue ,Thanks for the link to the thread, Looks like Uncle Danny had to cut a couple of quarter size holes to get to the back of the emblem. And a big howdy to Sleeper ! I've been looking at the emblems for a while Still can't decide...Many thanks...John

I’m a fan of the shaved emblem and badges and personally don’t drill holes in my HHR. But that’s me!

They are probably chrome plated plastic. A hair dryer would be enough then grind the pins off and use 3M double sided tape.
