6 speed at. trans.

why GM did not install 6 speed auto trans. in the 2011 hhr i dont know. the 2010 malibu 4 cylinder has the 6 speed, would that be interchangeable in my 2.4 hhr. just a thought.

It well might - but the cost would be prohibitive.

X2 on whopper's thoughts, the extra two ratios would come with a steep price. Especially getting the ECM/PCM combo to communicate with the transmission.
