Anytime I pay something off, I usually don't go more than 2 months before I end up buying something else.

I bought my HHR in Sept of 2009. I'll be paying it off in either January or February with about 40,000 miles on it. I am going to try my best not to buy something else to soon after, but I don't have to much confidence in that. Even if I do buy something else, I do know I will still hold onto the HHR as my daily driver though. LOL!!

NOW.....OPEN A SEPARATE CHECKING ACCOUNT AND KEEP MAKING THOSE PAYMENTS with 5% INTEREST TO YOURSELF!!!

You have already proved you can pay for the car. Pay for it again and you will never again have a car payment. Next time around you will have your trade plus cash and LOAN YOURSELF THE MONEY. My father told me to do this when i was in my 20's I have not had a car payments to a BANK since. ALWAYS HELD the titles. Plus you have a slush account for repairs and maintenance as well.

Your monthly "payment" of $424.00 for 4 years to YOURSELF with an interest rate of 0.00% (chose your own bank account or bond) compounded Monthly
with an initial starting balance of $7,000.00

Year Balance
1 $12,088.00
2 $17,176.00
3 $22,264.00
4 $27,352.00
Final Savings Balance: $27,352.00 (Considering ZERO interest)

Your monthly deposit of $424.00 for 4 years with an interest rate of 0.00% compounded Monthly
with an initial starting balance of $7,000.00 (assuming your vehicle's worth in 4 years, Could be more

THAT is what you can loan yourself (minus any money taken for repairs or maintenance)

AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CONTINUE YOUR CAR PAYMENTS TO YOURSELF!!
