I can't remember a trip odometer that went past 1000 miles.....

Plus I just use the OLM and I can see the mileage when I update my maintenance spreadsheet.

Yeah... I have a spiral notebook that I write everything in, so I can just look at the miles for when I changed the oil. Comes in handy, I write everything down, so I can look and see when something was replaced, both in miles and dates.

Chris, to answer your original question, it can't be reprogrammed.

I change my oil every 5k miles. I have a full proof method. drum roll bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

I start at 5K and then do it every 5K from there on out.

Honestly, I can't remember a car that EVER didn't WHEN it was equiped with 2 trips.

I hear ya. I have been debating doing every 5k or when DIC tells me to. I already did my first oil change at 1k at the dealer (free).

Thanks for the answer on reprogram... but seriously, how wierd. Is this the only GM that does this? Heck, even all the newer Harley's have dual trips that will count to the sky.
