The "covered in oil" might be a tell tale for a bad sensor, not engine oil.

It may be in a different spot on FMG's SS. Not sure.

"AC Clutch Fully Engages
HIGH/LOW Pressure is adequate.
A/C Relay, swapped, stock #
Interior A/C on/off switch positive for power and function.
No Leaks detected."

That along with cost is what i got back. Like really WTF. Then recommended a tire shop, i was like "yea so they can charge me to tell me my tires are tires".

If this is correct, you can stop looking for problems with the refrigerant system... This is more and more seeming to me like a blend door issue that has been warped into something else by you playing telephone and guessing games.

I know a sanity check you can perform to see if the tech was telling the truth or not:

Open your hood with the car running and the AC on high. Now look to the driver side of the engine bay. Do you see the large line with the low side port on it? Grab hold of it. Is it cold? If so, you aren't having refrigerant or compressor issues.

I do not know the workings of the blend door well enough to tell you how to get at it. Someone else will have to chime in there.

Unfortunate but SwaintaN has since had an accident with his HHR.

Repairing his AC is most likely put on hold until the status of his damage is resolved.

Thank you oldblue. I didn't wanna start another thread and eat up the server data, when I've picked up another 2007 lt with no cold air.....

Ok so I picked up an 07 lt. I can see the ac clutch spinning. Checked pressure on lower line and it is good.
None of the lines are cold to the touch.
Heater works just fine and so do all speeds of the blower fan.
so now I get to start reading and testing again. Sucks to pick up another car with same problem.

That’s Oldblue! Sheeze! LOL.
I’d start checking Freon pressure in the low side. It could be to high.

The clutch spinning doesn't tell much; is it spinning the compressor? I'd be looking at pressure then the pressure switch.

I think we stated this regarding your other car/AC.
If you don't hook up some high/low AC gauges you can't tell about the charge or function of the system.
Saying "checked pressure on the low line and it's good" means nothing.
