am I missing something

Hey Everyone,
I've owned my 2009 HHR 1LT for almost 1 year now and as I was cleaning out my room I found the window sticker with all the features. After reading through all the features I noticed it talks about XM radio and a 4-speed trans that includes the AP3 remote vehicle starter system.....only problem is the car does not have XM and theres no remote start button on my remotes....is the car suppose to have them or are they features that the car is already equipped for?

Check the sticker in your glovebox.... if you have AP3 it should be listed there.

Thanks for the tip greybeard. glove box does not show AP3 so that means no. Just strange on why they would put it on the features sticker

Copying a window sticker can get the dealer jammed up legally, the stickers are to show the VIN number and all options/standard equipment on the vehicle in question. If the sticker displays the proper VIN number it may be a case of a misprint from the factory, or a unit where the indicated options were not installed during production.

Any dealer who removes the sticker from a vehicle before purchase, or who substitutes the sticker from another unit is in violation of Chapter 28, Sections 1231-1233, Title 15 of the United States Code. Said dealer can face fines up to $10,000 per instance.

Mike, what I was saying is, they used it as a template, and changed that information. VIN, Motor Size/Transmission, Color. Then left it be.. I could see a dealer doing it just to get it out there and have more time to play Solitaire on his work computer.

If they did, they broke the law, the sticker must match the vehicle exactly and can't be modified by the dealer in any way. They can place their own add on stickers containing things such as rust proofing, and exorbitant dealer prep fees, but the Monroni sticker cannot be touched by the dealer under any circumstances.

Dear drummerboy0088,

I have read your post about the information on the window sticker, if you would like to provide me with your VIN, I can research the system for your build sheet.
