Again, since I can't post pictures in my posts, I was checking the oil in my wife's '06 HHR and my rag snagged on this nipple. What is it to?, should it be capped or does it run from/to something else? This picture is standing at the driver's side fender looking straight across the motor.

That is one of those "universal" parts, it is used in some application, but not on your HHR. Don't worry, it is supposed to just sit there forcing people to wonder about it.

 

Thank you Sir, I'm new to these HHR's with the ECOTech. I normally do Opel 1.9-2.4 CIH motors, which are much simplier, and lack all the electronic/tree-hugger accessories.
