Any 2007's?

I don't own an HHR yet, but I am looking to get one soon. I was just down at the dealer today to check one out and they had a bunch of 2006's .....I'd say at least 20 of them all lined up. A good mix of colors also. 2 white, a few orange a couple of blues some silvers, reds, an Amethist, a black.....only one I didn't see was the Sand/Tan one. I didn't test drive one because It might be a couple of months before I buy, but I wanted to get a feel for it. I sat in it and checked out the interior. Seems like pretty solid little car/truck. I'm a little apprehensive about going to GM as I'm mostly a Chrysler person (5 out of 8 vehicles I've owned). Right now I drive an Intrepid and it's been rock solid for almost 5 years @ 108k and the 200 hp has quite a kick on the highway with 30 mpg to boot. So going to a GM and a 4 banger to boot will take some getting used to. The Intrepid is a pain to park sometimes as it is a BIG car (a few inches longer than a minivan) and although the trunk is big, the opening is small so I can't fit large boxes through it. I like the fold flat seats and cargo space of the HHR. I looked at the Caliber....ugly interior, lousy engine choices, lousy mileage.....I test drove a Scion XB.....big inside, but noisy and seats suck, also no side curtain airbags available and the sheet metal is tinny compared to the HHR's. I was leaning towards the Mazda 3 Hatchback, but now I am starting to like the HHR more, besides, I've never bought an import......

sorry...forgot the reason for the post..... As I will be looking soon to buy an HHR and all I saw was 2006's, I was wondering if the 2007's are out yet. If so, I would think that the dealer would be doing some dealing to move those 2006's I saw, don't you think?

2007's are out as I purchased my 07 in early september. You can get a deal on 06's right now and they actually have a $500 rebate on 06's currently.

If you're planning to buy in a few months, why not order what you want? It might take that long to get it.

Wow, you had a great selection! Dealers around here had 5 at the most at one time, none with manual transmission, and way too many black and dark red ones for the Florida sun. I have one in sandstone and love the color. But, I can't wait to see the new green color in a 2007.

Well the only difference between the 2006 and 2007 models is the color choices and the engines have a few more HP, right? Or is there more? I should be able to get a good deal on one of those 2006's, but if the dealer doesn't want to lower the price some, I should just go for a 2007...

I have a 2007. Picked mine up Thursday last week.

Gave it it's first bath today.

In addition, the 2007 has a 5yr/100k on the powertrain. 2006 only has a 3yr/36k on powertrain.

I would suggest giving it a good hand wax also. Once a year really helps protect against bird doo and such.
