Any Idea what this pipe/line is near the oil dispstick on a 2.4l

Just Bought my 2007 HHR 2LT 2.4L always wanted one and finally bought one.
This is a lot of fun to drive!

Any idea what this Pipe/Line is about two inches to the left of the dipstick it does not seem to go any where but it looks like a hose about maybe a 1/4" or at least a cap should go to it?

No idea why it's there, but mine looks the same so there's nothing missing on yours.

I think it's just another intake mounting point depending on what car the motor is in.

And to third solman and Greybeard, its normal and nothing to worry about.

When you get a chance pop over to the "Introductions" forum and tell us a bit about yourself, and congrats on your new ride!

If I remember correctly, it's in use on my mothers Cobalt. It just holds one of the rubber bushings that hold the aircleaner in place.

Greetings to all from a newby from Western WA. My wife and I just purchased a used 2007 LT with manual trans yesterday and I saw that same tube and wondered what it was for.
