There are couple places online you can buy a HONDA EW for far less then a dealer

I think there is a place that will sell me a GM EW. Not after market.

I just bought a Honda Extended Warranty for almost a grand less than what my Honda dealer wanted to sell it to me for. Dealers try to make there money where they can. I got the same warranty, Hondacare.

I find a lot of the GM EW sellers offer complicated third party warranty's, so I have not bitten. I took out one through my Buick dealer on our Ranier and got the rebate minus a grand on it when we traded the Buick for the Honda.

Then with the rebate for a warranty that was from a third party ( Even from my dealer ) I was able to by the most complete ,read MORE thorough than the Buick one we just canceled AND have money left over. That is how much profit/inflated price a trypical at the dealer EW has.

I'd like to find a more complete EW for my HHR that does not have a lot of third party loopholes and can be serviced at the dealer of my choice.

I bit on an extended warranty for another Chevy that I owned. It was highly rated, however when I got the information and read it I wasn't very impressed and returned it. It covered all the main parts engine block, transmission case and things like that. In other words look very carefully at what you buy when it comes to extended warranties.

Good advice there!

The basic thing to keep in mind on EWs, whether for your car, some appliance or home entertainment component, is that these companies have done their homework and are in business to make a profit on these.

Bottom line.... The money "odds" are in their favor!!

There are many out there, mostly dealers that sell them online. Just make sure it`s a genuine GM warranty and it`ll be honored at any dealer across the country.
