Interesting read on the transmission for 2009:

"2009 Getrag F23 (M86)
2009 Model Year Summary
Getrag F23 five-speed manual car and truck transaxle

• New Final Drive Ratio for (M86 ) for fuel economy improvement."

The ratio goes from 4.17 to 3.95. I wonder how much that will boost the MPG.

Great site, thanks
Did you notice the the engine output with auto trans is now rated at 250HP?!? That's better than the old 235hp.
Torque rating is only 222 though

I have a dumb question though.... What does LNF stand for?

I believe it is the designation GM gives to the motor. They also have the LK9, DI, L61, L42, LSJ, LE5, LAT, LE9, LAP, LE8, L34, L91 & LXV. or it could stand for Lost N' Found? :)
