Does anyone have any thoughts on attaching bow/stern lines (for kayaks on a roof rack) underneath an HHR? I have two concerns... 1)Where to atttch? By the time you get to something metal to attach to, I'm afraid the ropes would either "cut" through the plastic body panel, or pop it off 2)I assume the ropes would damage the paint on the hood/back bumper (but might be able to put a towel/a large car magnet, etc between the ropes and paint. Any thoughts or suggestions on either of these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
