Must have been a head or neck injury from the impact. The truck looks like it never got to the front seat.

I wonder what was wrong with the car for it to be so slow. This is a good example to show if you have a problem move off the road asap.

Sad to see this happen. It would be good to find out if there was a problem with this vehicle. You don't stand a chance when you get hit like this when you are only doing 10 mph.

I wonder what the truck driver was doing that took his mind of the traffic in front of him. Don't care if the car was STOPPED in the middle of the freeway there is no excuse for hitting it!

The deceased lived about 15 minutes from me. I didn't know him though.

I feel for his family, a terrible thing to go through the week before Christmas. I also feel for the driver of the truck whatever level of fault may be attributed to him if any. Maybe they will pull data from the ECM and find out whether it was a mechanical fault with the HHR. Anyway you look at it, the accident was probably not survivable.

However, that isn't an SS

Not sure why that looked like an SS to me at first.

I send my prayers out to the fellow HHR driver's family. It is sad to see this happen. I can't believe what happened. Sorry to see another HHR lost to a driver not paying attention. The police knew about this but why wasn't the truck driver paying attention? If I would have seen a car moving at 10 mph on the highway, you know damn sure I would have seen it ahead of time and would have called the police. On any freeway, seeing a car traveling below 40 mph is concern and should be handled by law enforcement! I'm shocked that the state police doesn't inform truckers of hazzards on the roads. Anyways, I hope something can be done about this disregard of cilivian motorists on the roads.

Dave
