Battery Recall ?? Anyone ??
Havent heard anything.
But my OEM battery had given me problems even before I installed my upgraded audio/video system. Then after it was installed the battery was unusable with going out for a short drive and crankin some tunes, come home and park overnight and in the morning I would have to put the old snap-on jump starter on it for a minute or two to start it cause the battery was Dead.
Bought the Deka Intimidator AGM Battery and have not had one problem since.

A check of the NHTSA website didn't turn up anything sleeper, here's the link if you want to use their search engine.

The original battery in my '06 got replaced earlier in the year. I had no issues, but one morning, I went out and a bunch of idiot lights were on and the car wouldn't start. I put a charger on the battery for a while, the car started and I had the battery replaced. It seem that in Florida, batteries last maybe five years then suddenly die. I have had that happen on three different cars.
No problem sleeper, that NHTSA sight is handy, and you can easily file a complaint about something like a power steering motor...hint to those calling for a recall, you need to file complaints with NHTSA before they investigate.
