Beauty bar part number?

Hi there,

I am looking to replace the chrome beauty bar on the liftgate of my LT because its chrome coating starts to splinter.

After a look through this forum different part numbers seem to be floating around. A look at this parts drawing (see link below) is also a bit confusing. Two different part numbers (Applique and Accessory Kit) for the same part (No. 1) on the drawing:

EXTERIOR TRIM - LIFT GATE 2008 Chevrolet HHR OEM ? New GM Parts

Does anybody know the difference between Applique and Accessory Kit?

Best regards,
Patrick

it appears the Applique is just the beauty bar and the Accessory kit is the beauty bar and the bowtie badge

Something I usually do is type the part number into the eBay search box.

this will fit your HHR, all years would be the same mounting and wiring for the release switch and mounting the license lamps, just this one has a little extra for the rearview camera, GM never offered!

Now I'm gonna have to take the tailgate apart to see if the wiring is there for the camera.

Thanks for the link Oldblue ~ give me a look at how that "beauty bar" is mounted.

Now i know not to just yank on it to try to remove it ~
