Does cold air intake systems really make that much of a difference?

 

Pretty hard to beat the factory engineer. Sound and looks do not add performance!

 

I was disappointed back in 2003 when I installed an AirAid CAI on my new GMC Envoy, no better uumph and no improved mileage as claims, since then I have just installed a K&N drop in filter and have been very satisfied with the results.
Now keeping that wooly worm intac is a bit of a chore , but I just be careful and do not twist it.
