Black Granite

Chevy has updated their site again. Not sure if they know what they are doing . Black Granite shows up as a color option for the 1LT or 2LT HHR's without having to select the Shadow Edition. Seems Chevy's site needs some tweaking.

I wonder if that is the new color they are using now in place of the dark silver metallic? I saw a VERY dark silver metallic that was almost too dark (for me at least) on an 08 they had on the lot when I bought Blackie. I had toyed with the idea of ordering an 08 and considered the DSM, but my dealer, Mike said it was discontinued for 08 and that was the new color.

I don't think so. I think you are referring to the Dark Gray Metallic. Here are the color options listed:

Black
Black Granite Metallic
Blue Flash Metallic ($295.00)
Cardinal Red Metallic
Dark Gray Metallic
Imperial Blue Metallic
Sandstone Metallic
Silverstone Metallic
Summit White
Sunburst Orange Ii Metallic
Victory Red

thanks for clarifying that...Sounds like it might be like my brother-in-law's 2004 Silverado. Looks black, but with a bit of a metallic sparkle to it. Chevy comes and goes with colors and my poor BIL who LOVES dark gray metallic always seems to buy in the year they discontinue it!

I have no idea what color it was that I saw today...it was darker than my DSM...it was more of a "flat" dark gray...like a navy vessel would be...

it had hardly any, if any metallic at all...VERY flat gray looking...and it was pretty cool. made my car look 2 shades brighter.

it had steel wheels/hub caps, parked next to a white panel with steel wheels/hub caps...and a victory red 2LT...LOAD-ED.
