Ok, I found inner pad earlier but no mention of top/bottom of pad soooo, its a 50/50 its correct. But if my memory serves me correctly they are at the top (I hope)
Anyway I got the front done, flushed, installed and bled. Took it for a spin on the highway and went through the procedures to set the pads ( 60mph ride the brakes then hard stops intermittedly ) so she is stoping straight and true, no pulling and that god forbidden shimmy is GONE !!!!!!!!

Going to talk the son in law into flushing and adjusting the rear brake shoes tomorrow at the shop, my wrist is done for... then Ill adjust the e-brake afterwards.
I finally got the rear lugs broke free after driving, guess the heat helped? So I got all my new Black Gorilla Lugs swapped out that I got from Mikey here on ChevyHHR ! Now all it needs is a good wash, not sure if Im going to wax it yet as Im talking to my buddy about paint.

The first set of brake pads are from the drivers side which had the shimmy, Why? I dont know but the pads were wearing diagonally if you look carefully at them and the passengers side was evenly worn in the second picture.
Everything put together and bled, cleaned and washed with brake cleaner to remove all oils and contaminants
Wheels and lugs before and after.

If anyone is interested thats local, I have 2 good rotors that came off , Ill have them resurfaced at my son n laws shop.
Got 2 sets of caliper slide pins I ordered from Rock auto ( new caliper set came with them ) so dont need these.
and anyone wanting the old factory stainless cap lugs ?
Will ship lugs for $10
Rotors need picked up ( too much to ship them )
I brand new set of AC Delco brake pads Ill have to look up what I paid for them unless I can return to RA.

me too, hate that shimmying all the time, been out a few times now and smooth as silk

I was amazed at how much brake fluid is in the reservoir??? WTH???? Half of a large bottle to fill it....wow !
The old stuff was kinda greenish and watery in a way, really odd looking stuff, so vac it all out , hopefully I can get the rears flushed and adjusted tomorrow, we will see. I tried myself but both my standards and metrics slipped over the bleeders on the rears???? they fit tight but they wont bite? Might try a deep well to break them loose if I do it myself, but Id rather the shop break the screw than myself...LOL

And those lugs do look nice

Before you do that, try hitting it hard with a hammer few times
98% of the time, a stuck fastener will become moveable from that alone.
It's worth a shot, bleeders are very cheap anyway and available at most parts places.
$3 /pair at Autozone

Yeah but my luck lately Id have to replace the whole axle.... leaving the hammer in the drawer...LOL But I have done that before with stuck bolts and it works but this would spiderweb too much to be a simple fix.

Totally your choice.
I'm not going to give you bad advice, have done it numerous times, no issues at all. Use 6 point deep sockets

Frankly if the cylinders have been on there a few years, then there will be enough crud in there that replacements may be prudent anyway.
Again, they are not that expensive. $14.00
