Burning Rubber Smell

Yes, sometimes I drive hard but that is not causing a slight burning rubber smell when I turn off my HHR and get out.

Its not the tires, what else could cause this?

It seems further back... I'm taking it in this week. It doesn't quite smell like clutch to me but kinda. Just like burning rubber.. I thought tires at first...

Now that's a good guess. My breaks are very squeaky when cold until warmed up. Wonder if its connected. I'll know mid-week!

It is not too strong, just enough to think maybe you did a burn out before parking. And while the 2.4 CAN do it... I don't... :)

Tight brakes would make the wheels hot.
