Can I fit a 6ft. Aluminum ladder in the back?

Hello, first time poster here. I am looking at grabbing an 2011 HHR Panel for my small painting business. I am curious if I could fit a 6ft. Aluminum ladder in the back (without putting down the front seat at all ) the ladder is 74 inches long. I could also put it in diagonal if that makes it there. Thanks in advance!

Welcome
Short answer. No. I believe it’s around 60 inches cargo length with the front seats up.

Possibly between the front seats? Measure the thickness of the folded ladder, Measure the space between the seats.

I have hauled 2x4 6 ft but I dropped the pass seat and had plenty of room.

1/2 and 3/4 10' PVC pipe fits diagonally as do 8' 2x4s and 2x6s. Depending upon the with of the skinny end, it might fit with the passenger seat down.

You say w/ the front seat up. Do you need to carry a passenger? Someone small? Can the seat go all the way forward w/ the back upright?

Part of me wants to get off the couch and head down to the HHR with a tape measure. The other part ain't gonna let it happen. right now.

I am a bit over 6 foot and have laid down in the back. Should fit with the passenger seat all the way up.

I believe Firemangeorge is correct.

With rear seats folded, 5 ft to the front seatbacks. If you move the passenger seat forward all the way you will gain a few inches more, but not 6 ft.

Somewhere on this forum I posted up several pictures with the cargo area measurements. If someone wants to search, they’re in the archives.
Thanks fastsuv. I can’t run out in the garage and take any measurements. Don’t have the SS anymore. A better owner has it now. 😉
