Canadian car show

I hope its ok that I post this here.

My name is Corby. I am currently the club president for both the:
JCO(J-Body Club of ontario) and OCC(Ontario Cobalt club).

I was speaking w/ GM yesterday and its time to get things rolling.

The JCO host an annual "bash" each year. For the 2nd year in a row, GM will be title sponsor. The show will be in its 8th season. However this year,we are makeing it bigger and better w/ the addition of other GM makes and models.

I`m extending to you an open invitation to attend this great event.
It will be taking place on June 2-3 2006 at St.Thomas dragway in Sparta Ontario.(which is 90 min south of Toronto)
With 200+ j-bodies last year, a big booth from GM and other vendors, the show & shine and dragracing and live music and dj`s.Oh and i cetainly can`t forget the Fri night party at the host hotel the night before the event. Its an awsome weekend!

I`ll update you as more info becomes available and/or provide you w/ a link to the event website.

Hey now we have a working ferry to Toronto here in Rochester. I'll actually get a chance to use it. I'll probably be there. Keep me updated.

This is great.I have posted this on several forums of different makes and models. So far the first responses to them have been very encouraging.
I hope to have as many of you out as possible.
As a matter of fact,I hope to have as many GM sport compact and tuner cars of all makes and modles attend this show.It will only make it bigger and better.W/ GM investing time and money into this show, they will be looking at attendance to see what kind of support they should continue to throw at it in the future. So a good attendance and mix of cars should ensure they Stay on as title sponsor and continue to support this growing event.
They were happy last year w/ 200+ J-bodies.It can only grow by inviting other GM cars.So spread the word through your club and other GM enthusiasts.Lets help this show grow into a fully sponsored GM event we can attend year after year.

BTW. my club has an hounourary US member in Rochester. Daryl Bently,he drives a fully custom yellow cavalier, says I GLOW on the plate.Maybe you`ve seen it?

Taking the ferry into Toronto, and then back down to Sparta would be the very long way around (sorry to disappoint).

Sounds like a neat event. Unfortunately, I also have a smart car event planned for the CIAS. Hope it goes well for you.

I wouldn't get a chance to ride the ferry anyways. They decided to kill the project yesterday, after wasting over 10 million dollars in ten months. My city sucks sometimes. We should have just built the casino like originally proposed.
After we sell the ferry we'll still be like 40 million in the hole and we have to pay Toronto $250,000 a year for 14 years because of a contract with them. No ferry rides for me.

Its the Comfort Inn,St.Thomas.

Sounds like we`ll have all 70 rooms and the hotel to ourselves this year.

If interest keeps up like it is i`ll have to get an event rate at a second hotel.....
