Felt? Now that's not very utilitarian.
It's 1/4" heat compressed granulated rubber. Nothing slides on this surface.

you made it ? where can i get that stuff ? i think there is still a rubber and gasket co near me...maybe they got it ?...i got the gm rubber 1 but i'm saving that for my funeral....half my ashes go in the hhr and the other half go in my 67 fastback

Yes, I made it. I couldn't find what I was looking for at the time.
I purchased a 48"X 11' roll (min order) from a rubber mat manufacturer I found on the net.

They also have all kinds of colors, just be aware they have a minimum order and this stuff is on the heavy side, so shipping could be substantial.

FYI-I still have the other half of the roll, if any one is interested, PM me. Official HHR mat manufacturers of this nature were going for around $120 + frt when I did find them. Think half that
