Chevy getting crazy with the free stuff.
When I asked my salesman how much longer it would be before my new HHR (actually disguised as a Cobalt) was ready to take home, he said "about 10 minutes". He went outside, drove it off and was back immediately. He said he had to go fill it up with gas for me. Great. Then a couple days later I get this coupon (from the dealer) in the mail for a free oil and filter change. Then, a few weeks later I get this gift boxed bottle of touch up paint (from GM). Now, today I get a prepaid fuel card for 50 clams worth of gas! I have a suspicion that the free gas card is a reward for saying nice things on the dealer survey they send out after you buy a new car. Has anyone else received one of these from their dealer?
Every new vehicle I have bought came with a full tank and touchup paint. WIfe's Mazda, it came in a neat looking mag wheel box. Gas card is definatly nice though. I might let them do the first oil change if it was free.
I did also get a full tank of gas when I bought it too...forgot all about that.
And I did let them do my first oil change...but I gave them the Mobil 1 I wanted put into it and they were happy to oblige.
I got a tank of gas, and the "Dealer Gold Card" that gives me 10% off all parts and services, free oil change, and $250 additional trade-in allowance if I trade in the HHR with them.
I think the "Gold Card" is suppose to make me feel extra special.
