Chevy HHR AC Condensor Replacement

Greetings everyone. I have decided to post a thread about my 2006 LT. Recently my car slipped off my jack and ended up denting my radiator and AC condensor. Now I have to replace both. It looks like I can easily remove the radiator h

owever there is not much on the Internet telling me how to remove the AC condenser. I was wondering if there is anybody that knows how to remove the AC condensor? If so, can you tell me what kind of tool I need to remove the air conditioning lines from the AC condenser? Removing coolant lines are my biggest downfall. I am confident I can get both out, but I am certain I will be stuck when it comes time to remove all of the high pressurized coolant lines especially the AC condensor lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance. Cheers!

You will have to have the AC evacuated , the lines are held into place with 2 bolts into orings to seal against the aluminium block

See the two threaded holes and the two larger smooth holes

Is the AC condenser leaking ? If not, then you may not need to replace it. Once you have the radiator removed, you may be able to bend the condenser back into shape.

Thank you for replying:) I don't think my car has any refrigerant in it, being I have never ran the ac. But if I did evacuate it, could I push on that pin under rhe hood?

No, it needs to be done by a pro with the right equipment.

You are not lifting your vehicle in a good spot, even if it hadn't slipped. Lifting by the radiator support can damage the support, it's not designed to support the weight of the vehicle. Check your owner manual for the correct lifting points.

The jack was not on rhe radiator, the car rolled and it slipped off the jack and caught rhe radiation on the way down. Horrible sight when it happened.
