Given the price of fixing that smile you may decide a fat lip is not so bad.

There's nothing in the front of the vehicle that you should be lifting the vehicle by. It's your car, you can do whatever you want. You're the one who has to pay for any repairs.

Sounds like you lifted with the jack under the round part of the engine cradle, if you lift there, put blocking behind and in front of both rear wheels, so the car doesn’t roll. Don’t depend on the parking brake.
