I want to know how to replace the left and right AC vents...without damaging the dash. Please help as both of mine are broken. I have purchased replacements.

Are you talking about the left and right center vents, or the ones near the doors?

By vents are you referring to the duct face (grill)?

I'm talking about the "eyeball" vents on the left and right (near the doors). Both are broken internally and must be replaced. I have purchased replacements. Just want to be sure of the "correct" way to remove and replace them...
Thanks in advance, Bill

This might help replace dash Vent Louver - Chevy HHR Network
You might PM radco to see if he can elucidate. He is still active.

Those just pop out. Be careful and pry at the mid point on either side.

Like Don said PM me if you want,, The louvers just pop out with a little twist of a screw driver ,, You can practice on the broken one,
The plastic will bend enough to pop out of the pin holes.
Just take your time. beats removing the dash lol
