Chevy HHR sales increase 11% year over year

OF all the top ten selling Cross Overs the HHR is the ONLY one whos sales INCREASED year over year!!!

Looks like it will be with us awhile and not suffer the fate of the PT anytime soon.

Anyone surprised?

My "unofficial daily count" has increased some--but not sure if they are rentals I see (see them on PCH, near John Wayne Airport, Disneyland, etc). I look for something that personalizes it (but do notice folks checking out mine! )

Although for some reason there seems to be a plethora of *white* ones in Long Beach that aren't Don's!

I like, but don't like seeing more...

Folks in the LBC have good taste. I like and I like seeing more...

Especially when they ask me about mine.

That's pretty good considering that GM has cut sales to rental fleets pretty dramatically and there's been almost zero advertising for this car since it was introduced.

Sales increased 11%!! All other cross overs DECEASED by the same amount year over year. Of course they sold a lot more but its interesting that people seem to be "finding" the HHR and understanding its not just another Gimmicky car but a real useful and economical car..

i think you will see a lot more sales of this vehicle. As oil prices keep going upwards, the car manufacturers are dumping their interest in full size vehicles that consume too much gas and focus on improving the smaller fuel effecient vehicles it already has. I recently saw some spy pictures of a 2010 chevy cobalt and im pretty sure the HHR will benefit from that. Nissan is bringing over their CUBE, honda has the FIT, FORD BRINGING BACK A NEW FESTIVA, toyota has the scion . Seems everyone going back to effecient packaging, small , strong and fuel sipping motors. As long as chevy improves their quality with the hhr (as they did with the malibu), the HHR is going to be a bigger success then it is know. Maybe this time they will spend the money on advertising instead of keeping it a secret.
