To see it from the top, the fuse block will probably have to be removed. You might be able to see with flashlight and inspection mirror? For reference, you can see the brake master cylinder to the left of what is circled.

This picture is from over 2 years ago when I had the fuse block out, preparing to remove the engine and transmission. I think this is the clutch master cylinder and the line. If memory serves, the line enters the transmission at the rear of the transmission (driver side). Off center of the transmission, (towards the front of the vehicle). It may be a little different, you have a different transmission than my SS.

If it is the slave cylinder, then the transmission needs to be removed, and the fuse block will need to be removed to gain access to several things.

Yes. Here is my new engine thread. Post #45 is where the fuse block notes start.

clutch hyd leak

On my '08 LT 5 spd I did the clutch and slave cylinder and it wouldn't bleed properly.
Replaced the master cylinder and got it operating.
Laying on floor looking up; Under the dash you can see follow the clutch pedal to the master cylinder and bracket for the clutch pedal.
My bracket was previously cracked and welded to repair it.
If I remember right the master comes out of vehicle from under the hood but you need to remove clip from pedal.

Once I lost the clutch and when pedal was on the floor I pulled it back up with my foot from the backside and it started working again.
It makes no sense and had no idea how that happened.

Yes, disconnect the negative battery cable, and stow it so that it can't get loose and touch the negative post.

Is it connected to the line coming from the master?

Looks like the fluid line has separated from the master cylinder for the clutch
