code P0449 HHR 2006 Evaporative Emission Control System

Hello I have issues with this code P0449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit, somebody had this code in his vehicle before?

I think it’s probably an open or short in the solenoid part of the evap vent solenoid or a corroded connector or bad wiring.

Yes, I have had that code. Test the valve under the hood, it should be closed and you should not be able to blow air through it.

Assuming you are asking for help not just statistics:
P0449 is the VENT valve near the gas tank (P0443 is the PURGE valve). Start with the fuse labelled "cnstr vent" #64 under hood. Then proceed to the connector at the vent solenoid. Then look for frayed or broken wires between the connector and the engine compartment . Last, replace the EVAP vent valve.
There might be a pigtail/adapter/splice between the harness and the valve.

Don’t forget to look at that new valve , doe’s it have a new seal? Don’t throw out the old valve until you confirm that, you might have to reuse the old one.

Thanks oldblue, I replace I disconnected the ld one, was super dirty inside a lot of peace rock or something inside, so I replace for other one and now the code is gone...
