Considering a 2006 LT purchase.

Yes, lotsa room for my Z28 horns . They sure woke up a nimrod who just barreled right thru the roundabout yesterday, I saw he wasn’t about to yield to the cars in the circle, so , I slowed till he was just in front and I was clear to turn off at the road I was headed for , but he still managed to tag the car in front in the left rear

I have an 06 , other than the "O" rings on the oil cooler the 2.4 auto has been good as far as issues.
As compared to most new cars in the family and friends , this HHR has been really good. Less issues than the daughters Lexis and Hondas.
I do wish I had the 16" rims instead of the 17's as the roads are really bad here.
As everyone knows the sun roof is an issue with the pop up deflector breaking. Not a real issue as a plastic deflector costs $20. The same thing with the interior door handles, easy fix and low cost ..
I have a loaded 2LT, the running boards were extra, mud flaps,
as was the rear bumper guard for the hatch.
If the HHR does not have the running boards look for paint damage from rocks along the lower body line, as the front tires kick up debris.
I an the original owner, and have really enjoyed the car, and came back from FL to NY with it. (it was loaded)
