Considering a 2010 HHR LS
I found a 2010 HHR LS with 117k on it. Provided that the CarFax/Auto Check rport comes back clean and the vehicle has been serviced regularly, should I be concerned about the high mileage on such a 'young' vehicle?

That's a lot of miles for a 2010. I have a 2009 ls never had an issue with mine. Have it checked out real good. See if the struts have been replaced as well as the sway bar bushings as they are common items at that mileage. Id also check out the hubs. If the price is right id grab it up considering everything checked out good.

Excellent advice from swerveo428, although 117k is high miles on a 2010, if its been taken care of I wouldn't be afraid of it. In fact I just bought an '07 Panel in June with 151k on the clock, the price was right, and it was a one owner vehicle. But I sure checked it out from bumper to bumper, and then had my tech go over it.

There are PLENTY of used HHR's out there, and you Can Deal with the dealer on price pretty well if you know what your doing with them sharks.
Thats ALOT of miles for a 2010, Myself, I would keep on LOOKING.
Sure well taken care of they can go alot longer, but why start with so many miles already on such a new car?
Unless your a teenager looking for his/her First car and it's really really CHEAP to buy.
Bought mine at 2 years old with 19,000 miles on it. For around 12,000.00 out the door tax title plates and Bogus dealer fees. Minus 4 G's for the trade in with 100,000 miles on it. Got my financing First, then went to buy the car, wrote the check for about 8 g's and some change.
And look for one with the Options you want on it, a LT has a few more goodies.
Researching the HHR and pricing will pay off for you.
Start at Edmunds.com and read read read. You'll learn alot and a few articles on dealers and their scams to make you Overpay.

Just curios as to why. Is it the price. The hhr offers similar mileage, more cargo, an improved ride height, and a better look in my opinion. Cobalts are great cars just wondering what steered you toward that instead?

If I could do it over again, I would have taken my time and looked for a cobalt sedan SS. So many more options for aftermarket parts! We are really limited in that arena although. Don't get me wrong...I'm in love with my wagon!
